Singing in the shadows
Heard but not seen

Old crows rose early
To gripe about the day
Moon remains silent

January mitts
To face the frigid wind
Of April

Blue moonlit shadows
Forest frozen in time
Silence before dawn

The whispering wind
Comes to the quiet forest
And begins to roar
