Threading trail
Sunlight dances
On the forest floor

A golden finch
Draws bright dots and dashes
Through the green forest

Morning adventure
Sharing first rays of sunlight
With a six-year-old

Lush forest
Cool air
On my skin

Rain-filled skies
Barefooted
On the wet grass
