Buoyant bird songs

‘Fore the coming rain
Meadowlarks urge on my ear
Spring is here

My foggy breath
Symphony of bird song
Fill the open sky

Neighbourhood robins
Singing before the sun
Beginnings

Red-winged blackbird’s song
Lingering scent in the air
The place where it rained

Chase through the trees
To the edge of the clearing
The sun is risen
