Beneath the streetlights
Snowflakes dancing
With their shadows

In the absence
Of the moon
The sky exhales

River currents
Easy conversation
Under our feet

Little cottontails
Hopping down the bunny trails
Saturday morning

By the post office
An old evergreen
Full of bird chatter

Raging force of wind
Sculpting frozen waves
And I, crashing in

Etched in the blue
Moonlit snow
Shadow of a man
