Looming sunrise storm
Dark purple blends with orange
Mixing elements

Glowing red dogwood
Lit by the morning sun
Fire ignites fire

He ignored the signs
And heeded the sun’s call
To keep on burning

Bare feet, unboxed
First touch of greening grass
Coming to life

Rising on the light
The clear blue melody
Of the meadowlark

A crash of branches
The only trace of one
Who remains unseen

A sharp, piercing call
Wings slice the crisp morning air
Neighbourhood falcon

The earth spreads her wings
She breathes the morning light
And bursts into song

Spring in rabbits’ step
Scent of earth, rain, and life
In the warming air

Robins, chickadees,
Meadowlark, sparrows, crows, geese
Morning symphony
